California Estate Planning Attorney
Janet Brewer: Advanced Estate Planning Attorney
Serving Families & Individuals in Palo Alto, CA and the Surrounding Areas
Janet is always ready
for whatever challenge the next case may bring.
Many estate planning attorneys (and certainly most estate planning “services” online) don’t take a real look at what you want for your future plan. They just copy down whatever you say, have you sign it, and take your money.
Janet believes her duty as your attorney is to take the time to go through every point of your plan — no matter how complicated it may be or how long it might take.
Janet is determined
to be the calming voice that can help you make sense of your concerns for your family and for your future.
Janet has been a certified estate planning and probate attorney in California for more than 30 years. She has both the knowledge and the experience to find creative solutions to her client’s problems. Together with her clients, she works through every wrinkle, complication, and challenge to design a rock-solid plan that embodies and protects their legacies. Their visions and end goals are always the driving force.
By developing and implementing creative, customized, and cost-effective plans, Janet helps individuals, families, and business owners achieve peace of mind and author their visions for their loved ones’ futures. She provides advice that protects their inheritances from creditors and predators, in-laws and outlaws.
She is not afraid
to tell you if your plan has flaws.
Janet has often been described as straightforward and to the point. She cares enough about her clients to avoid beating around the bush, and she’s always willing to take the time to sit down with her clients and work through every detail until you feel at ease. Her no-nonsense approach means that she will tell you straight if your planned strategy has flaws or isn’t worth the time or expense required.
Her top priority: Helping you make sure your family will be protected, no matter what the future brings.
Janet didn’t always work in estate planning. Her first 15 years out of law school, she worked in corporate law for companies like Hewlett Packard.
But when she discovered how meaningful it was to help families on a personal level, she decided to make the switch to estate planning for good.
She soon realized that estate planning was her calling. What could be more important than helping people design the legacies they leave behind for those they love most? She could make a difference in people’s lives. Effective estate planning is critical to the financial, physical, and emotional well-being of her clients, and guiding them through this process is an honor and a privilege.
And that’s part of the reason she values estate planning so much — the ability to connect with her clients on a personal level and see the relief on their faces when they have a finalized plan in place.
She enjoys
expanding her world through travel, genealogy, and languages. She’s learned Latin, Russian, and Spanish.
Janet also loves spending time with her husband, as well as her niece and nephew and their children. Also near and dear to her heart is Joel and his family. When Janet’s husband first mentored Joel as an 8th grader more than 20 years ago, they had no idea the bond that would form with Joel and his siblings — their “adopted” children.
Janet knows your family is important to you,
Just as her family is important to her.
And that’s why she’s ready to work with you to create the perfect estate plan for your future — whatever challenges it may bring.
